It’s an obvious scam.
DO NOT RESPOND TO SUCH EMAILS
Even better as security disable image loading in email, do not open such emails with image loading enabled as image-pixles are used to track emails being opened and informs the criminals that the scam is being seen. Meaning you will end up on lists for even more scams.
Report the spoof attempt to google so they can take action.

Thank you for calling this out…it looks to be a growing problem by some bad actors.
One of my clients recently received a very similar message (which I added to this thread so that others can see the language). I mentioned to them that the biggest red flag is that the email is coming from a non-professional email address (@gmail.com). Also, since we set them up with the website (and theme) several years ago, we know that we purchased the theme directly from the Theme Store…so there wouldn’t be any issue with the theme.
Their theme is old (not a 2.0 theme), so our guess is that they are using a script to find old themes and then harass Shopify business owners.
Since your instance is very similar, I reached out to Shopify Support via chat and let them know what this ‘partner’ is doing. They first verified that all is okay with our client and her theme. They also mentioned that all messages from Shopify will come from the @Shopify_77 .com email domain.
They have reported this instance to their teams for further research. Hopefully they can find the company behind this and, if they are a partner, remove their status.
Sorry this happened to you.
Okay, I just want to mention, in the scenario that this IS a fake email, it’s not obvious, very difficult to tell, this came from shopify@shopifypartnersteam.com which seems incredibly legit, have I actually received a real email here??
It’s not legit. Hopefully the Shopify team can go after them for copyright infringement.
That domain was bought via namecheap and is based out of Iceland (per https://lookup.icann.org/en/lookup) instead of Canada (which is where Shopify is based out of).
Yes I also received it. It’s spa
