Instagram Shop gets denied and Facebook support is not available

Hi,

I wanted to turn my instagram page into a instagram shop, but Facebook denied it with no good reason. Shopify then advises me to contact the support, but the link they put in there is not working (404 Error). Also, Facebook seems to not have a single point of live contact where I can ask this question or get support. Did anyone of you have this problem before? How can I solve this now?

I would suggest responding to the Shopify representative that you are in contact with and make them aware that the link they provided is leading to a 404 error.

I appreciate the context that you have shared as that is very helpful! I am sorry to hear that Facebook has denied the integration! Since Facebook is a third-party platform, I am unable to view any information on why they have denied your request. In this case, it would be best to reach out to their support to gather more insight and request another review. You can attempt to reach out to their support by following these instructions I have found in their Help Center, Get Help From Support.

With that being said, you may also want to try reaching out to Instagram Shopping Partner Support to see if they can assist you with this further.

Hi Ollie,

thanks for the quick reply - way better support than Facebook or Instagram. I tried to submit my request through the forms you suggested, but they don’t seem to work. From researching it seems to be quite known that Facebook has a really bad handling with Shopify Stores. Is there anything else you could advise me?

I am sorry to hear about the outcome of this! When it comes to approvals for Instagram Shopping, this is something determined by Facebook/Instagram directly and Shopify doesn’t have insight to the process.
