Inventory oversold with settings set up correctly

I recently had an order where a quantity of 60 was sold, but I only had a quantity of 52 available.

The specifics of my store is that I have a dedicated web store inventory and separate inventory for my brick and mortar locations. Each set up as their own fulfillment location of inventory. For this product that oversold, Continue selling when out of stock is NOT selected.

I did see a warning at the top of the order page that said Item assigned to a location without enough inventory.

One or more items in this order were assigned to a fulfillment location without enough inventory to ship to the customer. Prevent this behavior by changing your fulfillable inventory setting to sell only within configured shipping zones.

This would have made sense if the quantity of 8 that was oversold in our web-store’s inventory would have come from one of our other brick and mortar fulfillment locations, but the inventory wasn’t taken from any brick and mortar inventory. It just went from a quantity of 52 to -8.

I have screenshots attached that will hopefully give more insight into the issue.

Do you know what settings I need to adjust to make it so that we do not oversell?

Hi Jesse!

Did you manage to figure how to solve this? We are facing the same issue with our store.

Hello. I did not find a solution yet. If I do I will post it here.
