I need some advice regarding a situation with products uploaded to Google Merchant Center via the Google & YouTube app using Content API. Here’s what happened:
I recently created a product in Shopify and then promptly deleted it from the Shopify admin panel. However, despite deleting it in Shopify, the product has not been removed from Google Merchant Center and was rejected by Merchant Center.
I’m concerned about potential implications for my Merchant Center account due to these rejections. Unfortunately, since the product was originally uploaded via Content API, I’m unable to remove it directly from Merchant Center
Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can offer guidance on how to effectively remove products from Merchant Center under these circumstances?
It does take some time to properly reflect the inventory and availability on GMC.
Did you just delete the product on Shopify and checked GMC? Because the delete may take between few hours to 72 hours or so, depending upon the size of inventory, how busy the GMC system is and other things.
So, please wait and check after some time.
If the deleted products are still there after these hours, you may have to upload an empty feed, which clear all the products on GMC and reupload using Google & YouTube app.
where you able to solve this issue? Did you have to upload an empty feed, or it was solved by itself? I’m currently having the same issue, and wouldn’t like to upload an empty feed.
