I received an email this morning from
shopifypolicyregulators@gmail.com
Mentioning the following:
"Hi there,
Shopify recently received a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Takedown Notice alleging that the content on your Shopify store, is infringing the Complainant’s intellectual property. Specifically, we have been notified by our Theme Partner that your Shopify store is using an unlicensed theme version of the theme published on your store.
Please note that you are required to obtain a theme licensed code to verify your theme, authorizing it use or public access to your storefront will be disabled in 2 business days if this issue has not been resolved.
To put you through the process of obtaining a theme license code reply with “HELP” to connect with a support staff.
Note: it is crucial to act fast to prevent your store account from termination.
Sincerely,
Shopify Policy Regulators."
I’m super sure I’m not infringing any intellectual property as all products on my shop are my original illustrations. And the theme I’m using is the free one. But the thing that made me most suspicious was the .Gmail in the email address?
Surely Shopify can afford to have @Shopify_77 .com in their emails no?
Can someone help?
Cheers
Sandra
