I’m selling on Shopify and Amazon, so my idea is that I put a QR code inside the packing so when the customer receives it, they scan it and it takes them to a page in my website where either 1 of the 2 happens:
It asks for their email so they can fill it up and it gets sent automatically via email
There is a button there where they can download it directly.
I would prefer the first one so I can gather the email from my Amazon customer’s but if not possible the 2nd one is fine.
Tried searching for an app and ways to do it but can’t quite find it.
Since this is different from the platform Shopify.
You have to create a new system on which QR code will redirect the user and enter the email id and other information you need.
On submit of for data will be submit and an email will be sent.
Case 2 Shopify,
Since order is placed on platform you already have their desired details to send the link of PDF or better if you can provide the link of download it on order success screen.
Displaying the download link can be done using custom code.
But to send another mail would require a custom APP.
I’d like to clarify your requirements a bit more. Are you seeking a method for customers to download free PDF files from your website?
Could you clarify whether the PDF file remains the same for each order, or if it varies based on the order?
Additionally, are you looking to restrict access to the file so that only customers who have made a purchase can download it, or should it be accessible to other visitors as well?
Yes, it is for a method so customers can download a PDF from my website. It will be the same PDF every time. Is just an e-book that I will offer as a gift with the purchase.
And don’t really care about restricting the access since my plan is to have a “hidden” page where you can only access via the QR code.
I recommend giving the free Easify Attachments app a try. This app enables you to seamlessly incorporate your PDF file into specific pages on your Shopify store. To meet your specific needs, you can create a CMS page and effortlessly embed your PDF file, allowing customers to easily access and download it .
To provide you with a visual example, here’s a demo of how the PDF file appears on a product page. You can follow a similar process to add files to your desired page(s) on your website:
