A Shopify merchant seeks a way to view delivery statuses (Confirmed, In Transit, Out for Delivery, Delivered) for all orders on a single page, rather than clicking into each order individually. This capability would help proactively identify carrier delays—particularly with USPS—before customers complain about late deliveries.
Community Response:
Multiple users strongly advocate for this to be a native Shopify feature, arguing it’s essential for customer service and shouldn’t require third-party apps
Several merchants report negative experiences: one faced a chargeback due to inability to track a lost package easily, another experienced problems when an app’s “tentacles” interfered with native notifications and spammed customers after uninstallation
Proposed Solutions:
Third-party tracking apps recommended: Tracktor Order Tracking, Parcel Panel, and Shopify Order Status App
One user shares a free workaround: using search queries like delivery_status:"Delivered" directly in the Orders page search field
Status: The discussion spans three years with no native implementation. A Shopify representative acknowledges the feedback but provides no development timeline, leaving merchants frustrated about paying $120+/year for basic functionality available on competing platforms like Etsy.

We are new to Shopify so I apologize if there is a simple answer to this.
Currently from the Shopify home page, we have to click on orders, then each individual order to determine what that order shipping status is: Confirmed, Intransit, Out for Delivery, Delivered.
Is there a way or an app that will show you all your orders with it’s shipping status all on one page?
If not, Shopify should add a filter to see the shipping status from the orders page.
This would allow sellers to provide excellent customer service by determining if an order is hanging up with a carrier such as the USPS and not being delivered within a reasonable amount of time.
We have had several orders this month where the USPS has lost packages and the only way we know is when a customer calls and is frustrated because there order not on their doorstep on time.
I recommend taking a look into Tracktor Order Tracking app. Their app integrates with 1,000+ carriers across the globe, so you and your customers always know where each package is and the status of the delivery. Here is an example screenshot of what their app looks like within their order status list page:
Shopify needs this to be native in their Orders page. So simple for them to do, and there is no excuse for not having this feature. It enables us to improve customer service if we notice a problem or delay with any deliveries.
I was forced to install a similar shipping tracking app so I could have this one simple function, but all of the other baggage that came with the app ended up causing me problems, blocking some of Shopify’s native notifications. After uninstalling the app, that caused even more problems because the tentacles of the app were still affecting aspects of my store and the tracking links. Was a nightmare to undo that mess, and in the process, the app developer spammed a bunch of my customers by re-notifying them of shipments that already arrived months ago, causing upset customers.
Simply no excuse for Shopify not to show Delivery Status column in the orders page with no app needed. Installing apps for such basic & critical features adds cost, affects site performance, introduces bugs, and compromises data security.
I agree this needs to be native on Shopify. Other platforms I sell on have it (like Etsy). It allows us to easily see if there are any shipping delays that need to be addressed.
I’m looking for this feature too. Shopify - help please. It would be so nice to have a column that can be turned on in the Order Status page to see the delivery status for an order. It will really help us address shipping problems before the customer contacts us asking where their order is at, only to find that the carrier delayed it or somehow we printed a label but failed to get it onto a package and it never actually shipped.
We really appreciate your input on suggesting this additional filterable option on the orders page. Although we don’t have a timetable for this being considered as a potential future feature, we certainly appreciate the feedback. This helps us steer the direction of Shopify to continue developing a feature-rich platform.
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
Because this feature is not a “filterable option” as you said, it caused a chargeback situation for me this month, that I now have to deal with. If the feature had already been there, I could have checked easily to see that the package had gotten lost (we only send priority mail because we make and sell food, so it has to get to its destination on time). If you want businesses to grow and become successful, you need to have features like this as part of the package. Why on earth would you hold back a feature as important as tracking packages??
Hi Dirk so is this in development?, We also need this, it certainly is needed by all its clear here, anything that increases customer service, increases shopifys bottom line, its pretty crazy this isn’t a feature, fulfilled is really when its delivered not tracking uploaded. that should be the focus!
As far as it becoming a native feature within Shopify, I’d be happy to pass along all of the feedback in this thread for potential future implementation by our development team.
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
You replied to this thread three years ago. How is it that this feature is not baked into the Shopify order flow on our dashboards by now? Why is this being monetized, where you are telling us to pay an extra $120/year for a third-party app to take care of this issue? You KNOW we all have to deal with shipping issues and especially the issue of packages arriving on time, so having a mechanism in place to help us vendors deal with a late package in a timely manner means everything to our customers. I lost $62 and a customer because of the lack of a system in place to let me know that her package was late. I do not have the time or bandwidth to spend time each day making sure all our shipments have arrived on time, because I’m making our products fresh each day and I have a lot of other issues to deal with.
I know I’m reviving an old thread, but I found a FREE workaround for custom filtering based on the fields on the Orders page. It is also critical for us to check the Delivery Status of each order easily- so here is the quick and dirty way to do this. Here is a semi-step by step way to do this:
First, go ahead and apply any other filters that are “filterable” from the orders page. For me, I was looking for a particular product, so I filtered by product.
Then based on what status you are looking to filter, copy and paste the following into the search field on the orders page. The quotes are required, so include those when you copy/paste.
delivery_status:“Delivered”
delivery_status:“In_Transit”
delivery_status:“Tracking_Added”
delivery_status:“Out_for_delivery”
That should give you a filtered view based on your needs. Hope this helps!
Hi there! No need to apologize — it’s great that you’re asking these questions as you get started with Shopify!
You’re absolutely right — checking each order individually to see its shipping status can be really time-consuming, especially when you’re trying to stay on top of customer service and catch delivery issues early.
Thankfully, some apps can help simplify this process. I recommend checking out the Shopify Order Status App. It allows you to see all your orders along with their shipping status in one easy-to-manage dashboard. With this, you can track statuses like “Confirmed,” “In Transit,” “Out for Delivery,” and “Delivered” all in one place without needing to click into each order. COS also gives you the option to customize order statuses to fit your workflow better.
It’s a great way to stay proactive, spot delayed shipments faster, and deliver a smoother experience for your customers.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you’d like the link to explore the app!
Hi @Jet4me2fly, maybe you can try some third-party apps to automatically track your order status so you can free your hands from “where is my order” tickets and all the work of checking each order manually.
Parcel Panel has more than 1900+ 5-star reviews. Using Parcel Panel, you can see a clear order management portal like below (Apply a 40% discount by entering the code “community” ) :
You can send shipping notifications to your customers and yourself when the order status updates. And it enables you can cutomize the email templete to enhance the branding image or promote your marketing activities.
