hey everyone, was hoping someone could take a look at my site and help me figure out why there are no sales. I am getting a good amount of traffic and a few add to carts but no conversions yet. The site is brand new so that might have some impact

@blackandgold Itâs possible that despite traffic and add-to-carts, youâre not seeing conversions due to issues like unclear value propositions, complicated checkout processes, or lack of trust signals. Ensure your site is user-friendly, provides clear product information, and includes trust elements like reviews and secure payment options. Consider running A/B tests on key pages and gathering feedback from visitors to identify potential improvements.
Hi,
I would also suggest to track your products/offering, which of them are generating views (and no add to carts), which products have low (or high) conversion or abandonment rates. This visibility helps you as store owner to be able to take actions in improving the product offer, the pricing or other factors that in the end would result in an improved overall conversion rate. The devil is in the details, its important to understand your users and how they interact with your products.
Take a look at our demo (no signup needed) to have a better impression about what kind of measurements can be used to track, understand and ultimately improve your product offering and of course your store performance: https://demo.datma.io/shopify/reporting/metrics/1416 - this a direct link to a reports with all products with conversions, add to carts, abandonment rates, but feel free to look around.

Hi @Blackandgold, thank you for posting here!
There might be more factors, why youâre having traffic but no sales. Here are some steps I would do:
- Go to your analytics. Check the source and medium to see how visitors are coming to your site. Are these visitors relevant to your store? If using GA, you can also check the age, location, devices, and elseâŚ
- Are you running any paid ads? Facebook or Google? If yes, make sure the targeting is relevant to your store. The results (purchases vs visitors) depends on what kind of objective that your running ads.
- You mentioned that youâve just launched the store. So I assume that itâs not that long on the market â it always takes some time before you get relevant visitors and sales. I would remake your about page â add a picture of you, write more personal things about you, make the text a little bit bigger, add some pictures â> people donât know the brand so they need to create a kind of ârelationshipâ before they make a purchase.
- How about your social media? Are you active on them? You should utitlize your personal social media account to promote about your new store, you can even invite your friends to also share about it to create a much larger spread.
- How about adding a special discount for the first purchase?

Hi @blackandgold ,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. Iâm Tracy from BON: Loyalty Rewards Referrals.
I just had a look at your website and there are some suggestions from my perspectives to help you increase the conversion rate:
- It would be great if you could make the menu bar sticky which is easier for customers to navigate.
- You can add the due date for the limited-time offer or add some counting oâclock to raise the feeling of missing out of customers. You can look at the image below for your reference.
- Besides, the space between products on the Homepage is too narrow which might make customers feel overwhelmed and feel harder to notice the product.
- On the product detail page, you can consider adding them in a product carousel and using bullet points for product information which makes it more well-structured and clear for customers to follow.
- The due date of âfree shippingâ on the product detail page is not clear, itâs better to add the due date for this discount which can encourage customers to buy right away.
- When customers click to button âAdd to cartâ, you can add the pop-up to you that the product is successfully added to the cart â itâs easier for customers to keep track. Currently, thereâs no notice to let customers know whether the chosen product is added to the cart or not.
- Besides, you can install so Buy one get one (BOGO) or loyalty app to reward customers when they interact with your store which can keep customers stay for more!
I hope my above suggestions will be helpful to you. Good luck!

Hi @blackandgold
It looks like your store is currently unavailable, so Iâm unable to review it directly.
However, I can share some common reasons why a store might receive traffic and add-to-carts but no conversions:
-
Store credibility: Does your store look trustworthy and professional? High-quality images, clear product descriptions, and visible policies (shipping, return, etc.) all play a role in building trust.
-
Product presentation: Are your products displayed in an appealing and easy-to-understand way? Ensure product information is clear, detailed, and benefit-driven.
-
Audience targeting: If youâre running ads, double-check your target audience. Sometimes traffic comes from users who arenât the right fit for your product, leading to low conversion rates.
Once these foundational aspects are optimized, you can explore incentive-based strategies to drive conversions â such as BOGO (Buy One Get One) offers, free gifts with purchase, product bundles, or upsell campaigns. These promotional tactics can significantly increase engagement and encourage customers to complete their purchases.
If you wanna test all them to know what works, try this BOGOS app since it supports: gifts, discounts, bundles, and upsells
