A user created a new Google Merchant Center account for a new Shopify store but cannot connect it to their YouTube channel because the accounts use different Google logins.

While technically allowed in specific scenarios (like genuinely separate businesses), Google may flag accounts as policy violations if they detect potential abuse. The original poster clarified these are separate businesses with different email addresses, not suspended accounts.
So I made a new merchant center as the old one was connected to another store. For that I made a new google account.
I then added this new merchant center to my shopify store, all good.
But now I want to add my shopify to my youtube channel and it wont show up. When I look under “select a youtube channel”, there is none. I think because it uses another google account than my youtube account. But its the google account connected to my merchant center so I cant remove it 
how do I resolve this?

Here’s how to fix it:
Add Your YouTube Google Account as an Admin in Merchant Center
Switch to the YouTube Google Account in Shopify
Reconnect YouTube and Merchant Center
Please note that creating multiple accounts puts you at great risk of getting suspended. Not sure the reason for creating a new account is, but make sure that you don’t create a new one if your previous one was suspended. And don’t create a new one if you are not closing down the old one (when approved)
1 person = 1 account. I have seen too many people fall in the trap and than can not get out due to the above situation.
However, to connect, make sure the email address you use is the same as your other google accounts.
If it continues to fail, you can also just use a different app such as : https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds
I thought you could have multiple merchant accounts? Online it says you can.
Or do you mean multiple google accounts? Because google says there is no limit on your nr of accounts.
I had made another because its another business/store. I was never banned or suspended. So I made a new one with the other store email adress to avoid confusion
Technically yes, you are allowed, but in very specific scenarios.
For example, when it is not allowed. When you the person setup multiple websites targeting the same country, and you setup a new account for each website, will be eventually flagged if detected by Google under the abuse of ad network policy.
