Hello,
I’m working with a client who wants to migrate their current Wordpress/WooCommerce website to Shopify, and I’m a little uncertain on a good plan for all this. Some details about their current e-commerce setup:
- Main product is a quarterly magazine sold via WooComm subscriptions.
- I’m looking to use one of the following Shopify apps to help manage this: Seal Subscriptions, Bold, or Recurpay.
- They also sell physical products, which they bundle with the subscriptions (may need Bundler app?)
- They have blog posts + content for the magazine articles with links to purchase the issue it came from.
- They currently use ShipStation for shipping, but would be ok with the default Shopify shipping platform.
- I’ve been testing Matrixify to import some of their data for products, orders and customers, but it doesn’t handle subscriptions. Would one of those subscription apps I mentioned be best for migration purposes?
- They currently use Stripe as a payment gateway, so I need to be able to connect the dots between the customer, their Stripe ID, and the order (anything else?).
Does anyone have experience doing this type of migration, and have a good strategy for it? I’m guessing I should start with products, then customers, orders, subscriptions and then the blog posts + content last?
Any advice is appreciated!
