More visitors to my site

Hello! I have been trying really hard to help my seo with keywords, naming pictures properly etc and linking social - we are a brick and mortar store so I would have thought trust would be ok but still it is taking us a long time to get traffic up and I would really like to do the best I can without ads. Is there anyone that could take a look at my site and give me some ideas on what I might be missing? https://www.treowe.co.uk. thanks in advance!

Hi @oreoess

Thanks for posting this to the Shopify Community.

You’re absolutely on the right path with image names, linking social, and building trust for your brick‑and‑mortar store. However, it’s taking longer to get traffic because there are a few key areas that could be missing or improved.

  • Keyword + Meta setup: Each page should have a unique title and meta description with your main keyword included.

  • Image optimisation: Rename image files with descriptive keywords and fill in ALT text for every image.

  • Internal linking & site structure: Create clear navigation like Home > Collections > Products and link between related content.

  • Technical health: Ensure fast site speed, mobile responsiveness, and that Google has indexed your site via Search Console.

  • Content & trust signals: Add blog posts, local business pages, and show reviews or trust badges to improve authority and trust.

Waiting to hear back from you.

By taking a look into your Store I found lot of issues but the best suggestions I can provide are listed below. The suggestions is the best Answer of why are you not getting any sale.

From my POV you should optimize the Product page. It’s the important part of the site. And though the product page sales happens. If you optimize the product page in a way that it’s look appealing for the customers then it means you are winning the customers. If you have a idea to winning the customers then it mean your store will generate sale automatically. Here are the best suggestions to generate more sales by optimizing the product page.

  • Use Bundles: Product Bundles is the best way to increase the conversion rate and generate more sales. There are many free apps you can consider for the Bundles. Like some are below. Like AMP Bundles.

  • Use UGC Videos: UGC videos is the only best way to win the trust of the customer. See how this store using the UGC videos :backhand_index_pointing_right:: Paper Straight And in this way they are generating a lot of sales.

  • Use UPS and Stock Alert: Using the ups and the stock alert is another way to generate more sales. See image below how it looks like.

By following the above all methods you can ensure to get more sales on your store and generate revenue.

Hi @oreoess

In general, it is not a bad store; you have a good theme, colors, and fonts, and solid images. But it lacks a bit of personal touch, a story to connect with customers, better sections, and more content.

First, you should check the community for topics about feedback and also search for “no sales”, a lot of good advice is there on how to improve stores. Also, recently, there was one topic with a site that is a good example of how things are done right. And if you apply a similar formula, compare your site and add the differences. So check

and this feedback

And to point out a few things on your site:

  • Your megamenu could use images, more links, and more collections that would match what people would search for
  • Your homepage banner is just an image, and while it is a nice image, it is just space customers must scroll over because there is no action, no button, no text.
  • After that, there is a title, text, and a button. But the text is really small and it is too wide. People will lose interest halfway through reading the first paragraph, and some will just skip it.
  • Video section is solid, but for me again text is small, and on some backgrounds not too visible, the button is how it should be.
  • Shop by collection is an important section and it should be a second section.
  • As seen in sections, could benefit a link to an internal page or an outside link
  • For collection pages, you need some description, some text that would have important keywords that people would search for.
  • Product page is solid, some good work there, but you could improve with some customer reassurance, icons/text. Reviews, some bundles or upsells. FAQ section too.

So to repeat, you do have a solid store but some room to improve with a bit of work.

Good luck, and hope you get good sales in the next period.

Ok so organic traffic is a lot harder to get than ad traffic because you have to rely on your local community to spread knowledge and interest.

What you’ve done already is great. You are listed on Google, you have a wonderful looking shop in a decently sized city, London, and your site is indexed well on Search. I like the storefront picture from your Business Profile. Your meta titles and descriptions are all different, you have a favicon and Google has recognized the Site Name.

I would note that the favicon should be edited. Google wants a 32Ă—32 image but displays a circle (the diameter of the circle is 32px), so I would go into photoshop and enlarge the image so it fits cleanly in the circle.

You are somewhat active on Facebook, but have only a small amount of followers, and I didn’t see any link to your Facebook page on your website. I understand you don’t want to spend too much on ads, but there is a specific Facebook campaign that can dramatically increase your followers by changing the preferred conversion to “like page”. I highly recommend spending 100 pounds or something on this campaign type and get the follower count to >1000. Yes, it is an ad. But the ad is designed to gain audience which leads to organic traffic through Facebook/Instagram.

Last thing I would suggest is fancy business cards with a QR code on the back. Make the QR code act like a discount code. There are Shopify apps for the QR code.

Other than that, I really don’t think you can do much more to gain organic traffic beyond word of mouth.

Seo takes long time. If you are using social media, try to place that as well in your landing page. If I were you, I would use the social media to extend the outreach while the SEO is cooking. With your products, you can target new home owners, realtors who like designing houses or looking for presents for new home buyers. I would also include a video on how you made a single product. Since you have a physical store, try to place the website link in your store as well, disregard if you are doing thing already.

SEO already looks pretty good. Time to get those ads going!

Hey @oreoess
You’re definitely on the right track , naming images properly, using keywords, and linking socials all help build organic visibility. For brick-and-mortar stores, though, SEO success often comes down to a few extra things:

  • Local SEO signals – Make sure your Google Business Profile is fully optimized and matches your site’s NAP (name, address, phone) exactly.

  • On-page structure – Check that every page has a clear H1, meta title, and localized keywords (like “independent [your niche] store in [city]”).

  • Site speed and mobile experience – Shopify themes can get heavy; tools like PageSpeed Insights show quick wins.

  • Internal links – Connect related collections and products with descriptive anchor text to help Google understand your structure.

Hey @oreoess,
I just checked out your website, it looks clean and trustworthy, which is already a good start. Since you’re a brick-and-mortar business, I’d focus on helping Google understand your local presence and product relevance better.

A few things you can try:
• Make sure you’ve set up and optimized your Google Business Profile with your address, opening hours, and photos. That can really help boost visibility for local searches.
• Add more internal links between related pages (like from product pages to collections or blog posts). It helps Google crawl your site more effectively.
• If possible, write a few blog posts or guides that include long-tail keywords customers might search for, like “how to choose the right scented candle for your home” or “best gift candles in [your city].” These build trust and organic reach over time.
• Lastly, check your page load speed on both desktop and mobile - a slow site can quietly hurt SEO.

You’re already doing the right things, it just takes time for Google to catch up. Keep improving content quality and local visibility, and the traffic will build up steadily.

Try adding a blog to your store, but not the default one, as it is quite limited regarding features. Try something more advanced, like Magefan’s one. Simple but well-optimized posts with relevant keywords can significantly increase your store’s visibility and drive more organic traffic
It’s a proven way to rank well on Google.

Hi @oreoess

If i give simple suggestion, just find good SEO expert for shopify and let them do the work for you instead of going into the technical stuffs which can’t be done without technical expertise and it will take years to learn and implement them.
