Multiple blog post drafts getting created

Over the last couple of weeks we have noticed that blog posts we’re creating are getting multiple drafts created, which is unexpected behaviour.

We have a published post that has four draft versions, and our most recent post (that is still in draft) also has three other draft versions we didn’t deliberately create.

The time stamp on the latest post looks like a fresh draft is getting created each time we press save in the post we’re working on?

Is anyone else noticing this behaviour, or seen it before and knows what the cause is?

Thanks for your reply. Is this new? Never seen this behaviour before. In fact, when creating posts, there are situations when you have to click save, for example when you add a feature image. If you haven’t manually clicked save for the posts you are writing, much of the work (formatting etc) can get lost.

I might try on a different client website. Very unusual and only started the last week or so - no change to how we are doing things.
