I’m reaching out to seek your advice and suggestions regarding an issue I’m facing with my Google Merchant Center account. My account has been suspended due to a misrepresentation policy, and I’m struggling to identify the exact cause and resolve it.
Here’s some context:
My website, www.exclufy.com, has been thoroughly reviewed to ensure all required information is clear and transparent, including:
Business details: Full company name, address, phone number, and email.
Policies: Clear return, refund, and shipping policies are available and easy to access.
Product information: Accurate product descriptions, stock availability, pricing, and attributes like SKUs and sizes.
To ensure my product data is as complete as possible before requesting a review from Google, I’m currently adding GTIN, color, gender, age group, and condition to all my products to meet their requirements for comprehensive product information.
I’ve already reached out to Google support but haven’t been able to resolve the suspension yet.
I’d greatly appreciate it if anyone in the Shopify Community who has dealt with a similar issue could share their experience or advice. Are there any specific steps you’ve taken to get a suspension lifted? Could there be a Shopify-specific setting or app causing this?
I recommend you add your business address in the footer of all pages. This will increase trust signals, which is one part of getting approved.
The size advice bar does not work for me.
Make sure to show if an item is in or out of stock on the product landing page.
When highlighting text, when the background is dark, such as your address on the contact page, it turns to unreadable as the text and highlight are both white.
Don’t use virtual business addresses, these usually get rejected, my recommendation, use a real address where you the person are operating from, and ensure it matches your business address.
You might have more issues, so make sure to check the below guides and policies.
Thank you for your detailed feedback and recommendations! We appreciate your insights on improving trust signals, usability, and compliance. We’ll take these points into account, including adding a business address in the footer, addressing the size advice bar, ensuring stock visibility on product pages, and resolving the text readability issue on dark backgrounds. We’ll also review our address setup to ensure it aligns with best practices. Thanks again for sharing these helpful tips!
