I’m looking for a solution to the following shipping setup:
I run a magazine company based in the UK, with two shipping locations:
UK – Ships to the UK, US, and Asia
Spain – Ships to Spain and the rest of the EU
I want to configure our shop so customers receive accurate courier rates based on their location and orders are shipped from the most suitable warehouse.
Currently, having our company address in the UK allows us to generate courier quotes at checkout for UK-based shipments. However, when trying to add an EU-based address for shipments from Spain, no courier quotes appear.
One potential workaround would be creating two separate stores—one for UK, US, and Asia, and another for the EU. However, since the products would be identical across both stores, I’m unsure how to implement this in a way that makes it clear to customers which store they should use.
Ideally, I’d like a single-store solution that enables shipping from both locations while dynamically generating courier quotes based on the customer’s location.
If anyone has insights or suggestions, I’d greatly appreciate your help!
I have already done this but then the option to get the carrier or potential app to calculate rates isn’t working.
I wonder if there is an app that would work to ship out from Spain.
That is what I need help with. Shopify assistant told me that with the shopify label buyer it won’t allow me to buy from more than one location. Does that make sense?
I’d need an app that supports shipping out from both UK and Spain with different courier options that will appear to clients at checkout.
Sendcloud is great! The issue now is that to be able to use a third-party app the monthly fee I have to pay at Shopify is a lot higher and we can’t afford to pay it. Would there be a solution to do this but still keep the costs down? Would another platform be better for our e-shop?
Hi @em2025 !
I see what you’re trying to achieve, and I understand that running two separate stores for different regions could create confusion for customers. A better approach would be to use an app like PH MultiCarrier Shipping Label, which allows you to manage multiple shipping locations within a single Shopify store.
With this app, you can:
Add multiple shipping locations (UK and Spain).
Set up shipping zones (e.g., UK, US, and Asia for the UK location; Spain and the EU for the Spain location).
Define shipping rules that automatically assign orders to the correct warehouse based on the customer’s location.
One key thing to note is that the carrier’s country of origin must match the location from which you are shipping. This means you may need two separate carrier accounts—one for shipments originating from the UK and another for those shipping from Spain.
