Only a few sales a month

Hello. We switched a year ago from Wix to Shopify. It was suggested to me to move over to Shopify because we would most likely see an improvement in our sales. I had a Shopify Expert make the transition for me with a new website. We’re only getting a few orders a month. Would love to get opinions about our site. Its sweetsoapconfections.com. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi

The website looks amazing! great work!

we have strugged to genrate sales after launching the websites with shopify.

only what you need to focus on now is gathering attention from possible customers.

I strongly suggest Tiktok to reach numeros people and make a fun community with Instagram.

If you are busy, just start making short clips on Tiktok and post the same clips on Instagram.

Personally, I am interested in buying those products but not really sure how my lifestyle can be changed.

One of ideas is making clips based on what makes your products special, and who you are.

I believe people from USA really care those points!

Also, “As seen on” part should be bottom part. it is not influence at the first steps on the customer journey.

you should not let the cusotmers jump to the other websites. They will never come back to your wesites(plus they do not watch/read the article)

Just put one positive quote from the article below the icon. imagine the customer stay your website only 10-30secs to make a decision.

Hi @Bruzdziak1 ,

I am from Mageplaza - Shopify solution expert.

I would be happy to review your website and provide feedback on the performance.

Here are several recommendations to improve your conversion rate.

1. Improving the speed and performance on Mobile

  • I checked your website performance on PageSpeed Insights - a Google tool that measures the website performance and found that scores on mobile, where a high number of the traffic is coming from, is around 4x - pretty low while the performance score on mobile should ideally be above 6x.

  • Slow loading speeds affect various aspects related to user behavior and business outcomes, ultimately leading to lower conversion rates. Here is some suggestion:
  • For Shopify stores, the following are several factors that impact website performance
  • Store theme
  • The apps installed
  • Any additional third-party code you’ve manually added to your store, including tag managers and the tags within them- Here are some tips that you can use to improve your site performance:
  • Use compressed images
  • Optimize use of Shopify apps
  • Or consider professional help
  • You can check here more advice from Shopify

2. Pay attention to your cart abandonment rate

Additionally, a high cart abandonment rate can be particularly frustrating for your business, especially when you’ve invested heavily in getting people to your site in the first place.

A high cart abandonment rate represents potential customers who chose not to become customers. This is also a reason causing low conversion rates.

  • You can remind your customers about the products left in their carts and encourage them to finalize their purchase by:

  • Email Reminders: Send emails to customers who abandon their carts, reminding them of their items.

  • Incentives: Offer a discount or free shipping to encourage them to complete their purchase.

  • Shopify help center has provided a guideline on this. You can check it here.

3. Improve SEO

Taking the time to ensure your web pages are properly optimized can help increase your organic traffic, meaning more potential customers browsing your products. SEO strategies can drive site traffic to your Shopify website effectively.

For an average small e-commerce store, you should get at least 1000 visitors per month to start having a stable source for sales.

Here are some basic elements you should check:

Title Tags & Meta Descriptions:

  • Each page should have unique, descriptive title tags and meta descriptions.
  • Include relevant keywords without overstuffing.

Content:

  • Regularly updated the blog with valuable content on trendy topics.
  • Use headings (H1, H2, H3) appropriately to structure content and include keywords.

You can also check this SEO checklist by Shopify to learn more about optimizing your e-commerce store and blog. This will boost your online presence and bring more traffic to your website.

Besides, here are some suggestions about the UX/UI of your website

4. Adding favicon logo

A favicon is a tiny logo that usually shows up in a browser tab. It is particularly crucial for new websites as it enhances user experience by helping visitors quickly recognize your site when they have several tabs open in their browser.

5. Homepage

5.1. Banner

  • The current banner is too general, you should use a high-quality, eye-catching hero banner with a clear value proposition and a strong call-to-action (CTA). Highlight any ongoing sales, new arrivals, or bestsellers.
  • Here is a reference

5.2. Product promotion

  • You should add ATC, wishlist, quick view buttons and discount label to encourage customers to buy your products
  • Here is a reference:

6. Adding search bar

  • A search bar on your website will let your customers find what they are looking for faster. A search bar with larger product images, including collection search, brand search etc.. functionality will provide customers with better content discovery. Here is a reference:

7. Product detail page

7.1. Recommended products

You should add ATC, wish list or quick view buttons to encourage customers buying your products. Besides, the images should be in one line. Below is a reference:

7.2. Adding review section

Review will provide customers more information about the product. It will enhance trust and provide more information regarding the product. See a reference below:

8. Adding FAQs page

You can add an FAQs section to address common customer concerns. Here is a reference:

I hope some of my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback.

Good luck!

Hi,

I’m very happy to reply to your post.
Generally, most people do not spend too much time and effort browsing through all the pages of your website, so it’s crucial to attract buyers during the golden preview period.

Most visitors browse the homepage more frequently. Here’s my experience browsing your homepage: I can quickly see discounts, shipping information, and know that you are selling products like soap, candles, and perfumes, which I think is already very good.

The sentence “We are a mother-daughter artisan soap team based in the small town of Lutz, Florida.” is very eye-catching. However, if you could dedicate a section on the homepage to showcase the scenery of Lutz, Florida, or real photos of your store, or pictures and videos of your workshop, it would be even better. This would make it easier for me to trust your store, and if I really need to buy soap, I might purchase your products.

Additionally, when I searched “Beach Trio” in Google Chrome, your website ranked 47th. When I searched “Beach Trio Soap,” it ranked 2nd. This is very impressive and highlights the importance of keywords for website ranking. Perhaps just a change of a keyword could bring more organic traffic.

Then, I discovered two of your competitor websites:
https://arkansawsoapco.com/products/tropical-beach-soap-trio
https://www.durossandlangel.com/

I also found more attractive websites that have features like review ratings and images.

Therefore, I recommend using two applications to achieve these improvements.
The first is the SEOAnt-AI SEO app with the “keyword feature”:

  1. It can let you know how much traffic the keyword “Beach Trio” brings to your website, and it can also show the traffic source rankings for your website keywords.
  2. The SEOAnt-AI SEO app can also help you analyze your competitors, such as https://arkansawsoapco.com/products/tropical-beach-soap-trio, to see which keywords are bringing them traffic. You can choose high-traffic, low-difficulty keywords used by competitors and observe the changes after using these keywords.
  3. Additionally, its speed optimization and backlink exchange features can help your website rank higher since Google places great importance on website speed and backlinks.
  4. You can directly use SEOAnt-AI SEO to manage all the meta titles and meta descriptions on your website.

The second is the Trustoo Product Reviews App, which can enable review features on your website. When used together with SEOAnt-AI SEO, it can provide star ratings and pricing reviews.

If you would like to try SEOAnt-AI SEO, please click this link, and enter the promo : “SEOAnt-AI SEO40%OFF” on the pricing page for a 40% discount on any plan, valid for a long time.

If you would like to try the Trustoo Product Reviews App, please click this link to install.

I hope these suggestions are helpful to you. Wishing you prosperous business and continuous success.

Sincerely.
