Only some product photos showing on google search

Hello everybody, i have a problem with images on google, for my products, only a couple of my products apear with photos on google search, the problem is there are a couple of ptoducts that apear with the photos, and are one of the last added to the site, other ones are 1 month old, but only my logo is showing asa a photo or no photo at all. the file type is the same to all the photos. i checked everything and all seems to be ok, everything is indexed ok on google.

Hey @vladdreq .,

Hope you’re doing great :slightly_smiling_face:

I can see you’re having an issue with product images appearing inconsistently in Google search results for your sticker shop. From the screenshots you’ve shared, I can see that some products like the “Sticker Logo F1” are displaying with an image, while others might only be showing your logo or no image at all.

This is a common issue with Google indexing. Here are some potential solutions:

  1. Check your structured data markup: Make sure you have proper product schema markup on all product pages. This helps Google understand what images belong to which products.
  2. Submit an updated sitemap: If you haven’t recently, submit an updated XML sitemap that includes all your product pages to Google Search Console.
  3. Request reindexing: In Google Search Console, you can request specific URLs to be reindexed. Try this for the products missing images.
  4. Image optimization: Ensure all images have descriptive filenames, proper alt text, and are optimized for web (compressed, appropriate dimensions).
  5. Consistent image implementation: Make sure you’re implementing product images in the same way across all products on your site.
  6. Check robots.txt: Verify your robots.txt isn’t accidentally blocking Google from accessing your image files.
  7. Be patient: Google’s indexing can take time. Some of your newer products might simply need more time to be properly indexed with images :slightly_smiling_face:

If you’ve verified all these aspects are correct, you might just need to wait for Google to recrawl your site. The indexing process can be inconsistent, especially for newer content

Hope this helps :slightly_smiling_face:

Cheers!

you can’t really dictate exactly what Google does in this case.

the problem is, some of the newer products are apearing ok on google (with photos) thats what is weird for me, from 8 product, 5 of them are with photos 3 are without, and all of them were imported at the same time. i„m gonna check again the indexing.

i guess so, i`m going to wait 2-3 weeks to see if anything happens.

Hi @vladdreq

I have fully read your raised question here and I have to say here honestly that only Google can decide which image to display in the search result and it cannot be manually modified by us directly.

However, we still can do some optimizations on the website to meet the demand of displaying your desired images and let Google know you more clearly. Please kindly allow me to share two opinions with you below for reference.

  1. Make your website more structured. You can consider adding JSON-LD structured data to the pages you would like to display in Google Search Results, which can make Google display the content with a rich result based on the content on your website. However, please note here it is recommended to use one kind of JSON-LD structured data pattern only on the website, otherwise, it will cause data chaos and make Google bot feel harder to identify what you want to express when crawling. To learn more details about JSON-LD Structure Data, you can also read this article attached below from Google for reference: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/structured-data/intro-structured-data

  2. Optimize your Web Page Image Alt Text. The advantage of optimizing your page image Alt Text content is to make your website images more readable. When Google crawls your website data from the background, it is quite clear to let Google know which image is most related to your page contents, so that the images you would like to display on your website shall have a higher possibility to display in Google Search Results.
