Order Cancellation by Customers

So we wanted to know if customers can cancel or edit the order after placing or confirming the order. and what if the customers have not made an account in our website store, there is been guest customers, so can they still cancel the orders without having an account?

Yes customers can cancel or edit the order after placing or confirming the order. There are two methods:

  1. By doing it manually as soon as the customer make changes in the my account section you would be notified through email and you can manually change.

To set up email notifications, follow these steps:

  • From your Shopify admin, go to “Settings” and select “Notifications.”
  • Under the “Customer account” section, enable the relevant notification options, such as “Customer updated their account,” “Customer password reset request,” etc.
  • Save the changes.
  1. By using third party apps like Orderify or Order Editor & Designer.

But for guest customer you can do it manually as the customer can email you and you can manually update.
