Order of products in featured collection on homepage and in catalogue

I would like to change the order of my products under ‘featured collection’ on the homepage and under ‘catalogue’. I’ve changed the order manually of the products under Shopify admin > products > collections and clicked save, however the order change doesn’t appear in preview or draft mode. What am I missing? Please help!
