I’ve never run any Paid Ads so I’m not the best person to ask about this but I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other.
People that search up stuff on Google tend to have more buying intent since they are actively trying to solve a problem.
So those ads might be more effective at converting but also might be more expensive to bid on different search terms.
Meta is more about product and brand awareness but if you get the audience targeting wrong, you could end up wasting a lot of money.
You’re best bet is to probably just pick one ad platform and focus on trying to get better at promoting on that platform.
They probably both work well so pick the one you like the most. A lot of store owners I know go with Meta so you can start there if you’re unsure about which to go with.
google ads is warmer in the marketing funnel, but competing there on specific keywords can be very expensive. big brands with higher budget have bigger bids on keywords.
meta ads on the other hand used user behavior and connect you ads to people who are contextually interested.
meta and google ads do complement each other. but for smaller scale you can start with meta. a lot of brands can scale with meta, its not underweight. Some brands focus solely on Meta and Tiktok.
