Hello, So our issue here is that pre-order products shows as in stock in our theme.
It should say (“Beställningsvara” = Pre order) and not in stock
Example:
The first 3 items are in stock and the 4th (to the right) are not in stock, its a preorder.
The black square with white text means Pre order, so the green text should be “pre order / beställningsvara”.

Same goes at the product page, the green text should say “pre order / beställningsvara” here also

it is due to you have checked “Continue selling when out of stock” at the product area from admin.

Yes, but we do want to continue to sell the items when its out of stock, but it has to be shown a a pre order items instead of in stock

It needs to add a tag or add a Metafield then modify liquid code of product template to show Pre Order Button

This is how it shoud look, but this is from an old copy of out theme and we dont use anymore, and I cant find or remember how we fixed this last time, I think someone helped us with the code

Hello @emilbrandon yes it is possible via code change on your previous theme.
since you are not using that theme so we need to add that feature on new theme too

Thank you for taking time to fix this for us, Looks good, just 2 modifications, the letter should be capital in the beginning, also if the text can be black for “beställningsvara” and keep it green for the items in stock

Hello i have the exact same problem.
i want to sell items when they are sold out, because we have stock in another country so if its out in sweden we still can sell, but with a longer delivery then off cours.

We’ve just launched a pre-order app, Early Bird, to handle this sort of thing ( @Pjintab , @JacobTrainer ) with native pre-orders/back-orders to let you continue selling when things sell out, and show appropriate labels/messaging to the customer + a bunch more features.
