Preferred Method for Google Verification

Hello Shopify community, is the preferred method to use “Domain name provider” for Google verification vs using the “HTML tag” method? Mine is already verified via the “HTML tag” option but some sources stated that it might be better to use the “Domain name provider option.” Will I experience issues if I also use the “Domain name provider” option and edit my DNS Settings within Shopify?

Thank you for the response. The only issue that I am experiencing currently is that Google is not indexing my pages which might do a redirect.
