Print on demand misrepresentation

We have been unsuccessful in getting approved on Google merchant/shopping and Google Ads due to the misrepresentation policy. We believe we are in compliance. Unfortunately, Google does not

provide specifics on repeated appeals both through merchant center and ads. We gather it may be due to our print on demand model. Can you confirm whether or not Google allows use of their merchant/shopping and marketing services for print on demand?

Hello Healthgear, unfortunately I have some bad news that you might not be aware of.

Unless you have a huge amount of reviews, like maybe over 1k or more. Getting approved for POD is near impossible. And the reason is that Google requires all items to be in stock. As POD means it is not available upon ordering, but printed after ordering. Google sees this as not available.

So this means the likelihood of getting approved is pretty slim.

Thank you kindly for replying. I figured as much but it’s good to get some
clarification so I can spend my time and resources elsewhere.

I imagine if I can purchase multiple samples of each of my catalog items
and then have it available for shipping from my location this could change,
but I’m not sure how I can prove this to Google.

That is very hard indeed, because POD is easy to notice, just based on the design, images, and style of the website.

So I recommend creating your own images, having a unique-looking website, collecting reviews, and then trying again.
