Product page url link is showing store logo rather than product pic

When we send store URL on whatsapp, it is showing the short description and the pic of the store logo. Even product page link is showing the store logo instead of product pic. How to fix this? Using Debut theme ver 1.0

I would like the store url to show logo pic and product page link to show product pic.

Grateful for any help to fix this problem. Thank you.

I did a search and tried the solution provided by @Relynjon to a similar post earlier this year. See https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussions/product-preview-images-are-incorrect-on-social-platforms/m-p/1970361

That works for product pages. But when I share the store url (for homepage), then no image appears.

What I am seeking is

  • the product image to appear for product page url AND
  • the store logo image to appear for home page url.

Bringing this up again. Any inputs on this will be greatly appreciated.

With reference to my last message, the product image was showing when I added the code in an older version of the theme, but is not showing in the current version.
So, whether I share the store url or product page url in WhatsApp, email etc., the image shown is the store logo.
