Hello, friends! I have a very low conversion rate and I would like to know the reason. Could you rate my store from 1 to 10 and explain your point of view? Also, I am ready to accept recommendations and generally listen to your opinion about absolutely all aspects of the site. Be as honest and open as possible, I want to know the truth
The brutal truth (no sugar-coating):
- the announcement bar at the top of the site covers the navigation menu, when youâre scrolled to the top
- your logo image is too small (canât read the tagline under the main image)
- youâre using a free theme (which are grossly overused by low quality businesses), and looks unprofessional.
- your main slideshow image says âThe Best for Your Paw Friendâ ⌠without scrolling or clicking into another page, I have no idea what your site specifically sells ⌠which is also bad for SEO purposes.
- your contact page doesnât have contact details on it (ie. address, phone, hours, email, what you can help with, etc.)
- youâre selling 4 products that look like theyâre straight from AliExpress ⌠you need better product images
- none of your products have actual product descriptions ⌠just the generic specifications that imported from wherever youâre dropshipping them from
- on your product pages, you have âLimited stock. 6 people are viewing this and 4 just bought it.â ⌠but it shows that for all 4 products, so itâs clearly a ploy to try and generate urgency (ie. youâre lying to your customers).
- the reviews are either fake or imported from somewhere else; as many of them arenât even in English
- all of your policy pages are poorly formatted, using the most generic content imaginable ⌠looks like you spent about 30 seconds on each of them, copy and pasting.
Overall, this site looks like it took less than an hour to build, with very minimal effort. Iâd give it a 2 out of 10. Itâs built, it works, but Iâd never purchase anything from it â looks like a scam.
Recommendations:
Get a premium theme, rebuild the site with better/more content, invest in getting some professional product images of the actual product (rather than using the AliExpress defaults), get rid of the fake âurgencyâ stuff (countdown for sale banner/widget + fake âcustomers viewingâ text), edit your policy pages so that the formatting looks professional, write proper descriptions for each of your products, and remove all of the non-English reviews.
Hi StephensWorld! Thank you for your reply. It is very constructive and detailed. I am glad that you took the time to evaluate it and I understood what needs to be improved. Everything is stated very accurately and I agree with everything. Thanks again for the evaluation, it is very valuable to me. Have a nice evening/day
Good luck!
Hi @PawPawPaw ,
This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Free Landing Page Builder. I would love to provide my recommendations for your store based on my CRO knowledge.
I have just had a look at your store. Your store is pretty. Itâs about 8/10, you have a favicon, a sticky header, nice images, many review testimonials. I have just some small things Iâd suggest for your site for a better chance of gaining sales. May it help!
1. Add hover/2nd image for your product media
To enhance product engagement and provide more comprehensive product information, I recommend implementing hover images and additional product images. Hover images allow customers to quickly see alternate views of a product by simply hovering over the main image. A second product image provides customers with additional details and perspectives, helping them make informed purchase decisions. This feature can significantly improve user experience and potentially increase sales conversions.
Besides, you can provide the context that the customer can compare the size of that product by putting it next to other items.
2. Classify and add CTA buttons
A primary call to action button is one of the important things for the home page of an online store.
With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, a product page, etc.
On your homepage, all buttons are the same, which action do you want the customer to do the most?
Or you can add more buttons under your products so visitors add them to the cart easily.
3. Add core brand information
A brand story helps customers understand more about your business and also helps your store look more professional.
Moreover, usersâ perceptions of the site or brand can be positively influenced by the availability of free delivery, the returns policy, and any warranty or guarantee information, which can reassure them that the site is trustworthy. Your information is quite hard to see now, make it clearer.
Besides building attractive and powerful pages, you should spend more time focusing on marketing strategies. Let me know if you have any questions.
Good luck and have a nice day! Cheers!
