I noticed several posts about recovering deleted products. I want to request that Shopify add a restore feature to all themes. Yes, there are a couple of unrated apps. I have never used a website builder without a restore/undo feature.
Shopify has no built-in undo for deleted products, so logging a feature request is worthwhile. Do it through the Shopify Help Center: start a chat with support and ask them to log a feature request, or submit it via the feedback option in your admin. Be specific (product restore within X days, theme-level rollback) so it reaches the right product team.
Meanwhile, protect yourself: duplicate your live theme before making edits, and take regular snapshots via Products > Export so you have a CSV of your catalogue. Once a product is deleted in the admin, it is generally gone, so your own copies are what save you.

I’m not sure either. I just want to make a suggestion to Shopify. Thankfully, I just deleted a few products. I see others have deleted 3000 products. That’s a huge issue. The backup apps are far too expensive for a store with 25k products. I guess moving to another platform may be the best solution. Chat GPT here I come!
