Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up about a new scam I came across (or at least new to me). I received an email claiming that my website was flagged as a “non-compliant store,” supposedly from the "Shopify Compliance Team"
Obviously, it’s a pretty dumb scam, but since some people unfortunately fall for these things, I thought I’d share and hopefully help someone avoid it.
The email came from: infoshopifythemepolicydetector@gmail.com.
I left a screenshot of one of the messages.

Thanks for sharing, and for a change, you at least conclude that it is scam on your own. There are a hundreds of topic where people ask is it a scam?
But most people do not search before asking, which is strange to me. I mean search on Google, here in community, or even ask ChatGPT. But it is also better to ask then click on any link or replay and get into he script.
And few people did shared more info, emails, chats, conversations how scammers asked some money for a “fix” that does not solve anything.
So stay safe, there are some different scams, different topics, but same tone, urgent, commanding.

It is clearly to see that your shared email account is not from Shopify, as it ends with @gmail.com. There is one official Shopify email account I have been very familiar with, which is support@shopify.com. Apart from this one, the other email account not ending with @shopify.com can be regarded as scam directly.
You can use this method to tell if it is true or false, and do not click any URLs inside suspicious emails, by the way. Thank you!
