i have recently moved from woocommerce and setup a new site on shopify. i have submitted my sitemap and this has been accepted
however i am having some issues - it is showing that i have 1330 non indexed pages, and 451 indexed pages
however i only have 145 pages in total which the sitemap is showing, so what are all the other pages and how i do i sort this out
also having some issues regarding product snippets, it says there are issues with missing field aggregate rating and reviews. how do i add this onto my shopify website so that google picks this up
there are also merchant listing issues, missing field ‘hasMerchantReturnPolicy’ and missing ‘shippingdetails’ as well as invalid string length in field description
please can someone help as i have moved to shopify to gain more customers, but i think i need to sort the aboves issues out if i am to get the best results
Some of those pages may be Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag, Page with redirect, Duplicate without user-selected canonical, or other pages types. Start by logging into the Search Console. Click overview, then click full report. From there you can read the indexing report. Fix the 404 pages. Some of the pages are canonical and those don’t need attention. What tool did you use to create your shopping feed? I’m a fan of Simprosys.
I think you have set something up incorrectly. It is better to work with a Shopify professional.
