Shopify analytics not recording traffics properly after March 5-6

I’ve noticed that there are inconsistencies in the data on the Shopify analytics dashboard since the recent update (around March 5/6th). When I review the data from yesterday, the numbers appear to be significantly incorrect. For instance, we had only 3 sales yesterday, but the dashboard shows 8 sessions converted. However, what I’ve observed is that if you revisit the data from yesterday after a few days, the discrepancies seem to resolve themselves.

Likewise, when examining sessions by location, we are noticing a substantial number of unknown locations. However, this issue tends to resolve itself within a few days.

this issue has had an impact on my ads’ performance, as they are no longer able to track conversion funnels as effectively as they did before.

Prior to March 5/6, although it wasn’t flawless, most of the conversions were consistently recorded with a high level of accuracy (around 80%). but now it is around 40-50%

Note that I am seeing similar issues on Google Analytics as well

It appears that I am experiencing this issue in isolation. Could you provide me with some suggestions on where else I should be looking for a resolution? Despite contacting Shopify support twice, they have confirmed that there are no reported issues on their end.

Thank you

We have the same issue but the timing was from June 11th 2024.

Same issues! Data is always incorrect you have to install google analytics properly because Shopify delivers for the last few months just bleep.

They even dont provide solution or an alternative.
