I am trying to set up the new Gift Card option to my Shopify e-store but unfortunately the denomination variants are not showing when you open the variant scroll. How shall I fix this issue? Everything seems ok in the backend.

This sounds like it may be a theme specific issue. If you reach out to the theme developer they should be able to help.
Our team has built another app that can solve this out of the box if you are interested called Gift Card Pro. It adds gifting tools as well as automated fulfillment to your Gift Card program.
