Shopify Payments payouts on hold | Foreign LLC in the US

Hi there.

Shopify activated “Shopify Payments” for me a month back bases the EIN number and USA bank account. I don’t have an SSN since I’m an Indian citizen.

Payouts were also coming, but all of a sudden they stuck the payouts till additional verification is done.

How do I get the stuck money back ? Approximately 2000 USD+ ?

Shopify shouldn’t have allowed me to access the shopify payments if they had to block my funds. On a related note, the below thread makes me think its possible to have shopify payment with just EIN.

I’d like to clarify that in certain circumstances it may be possible to use Shopify Payments USA, however additional verification requirements are often necessary, depending on the circumstances of each individual case. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to use Shopify Payments USA, as each case is unique.

I posted here only because the team hasn’t responded to the original ticket ( ticket ID 38878005 RAISED on 1-June ) in over two weeks and closed that ticket. Today I raised another ticket ( ticket ID 39183497 ) but replies have been unhelpful so far.

I will have to raise this over Twitter and Linkedin since that seems to be the only way to get the concerned person to reply.
