Shopify store gone - need tiktok ad manager back

Good day, all.

Recently, my employer’s Shopify store was closed for some weird reason (violation of term 4.4). I read the term, and nothing in our shop or practices violated it.

Anyways, we are switching to a new CMS but when we try to link our TikTok ad account, it says it’s already connected to another Online Shop. Is there a way to remove/delink our ad account without accessing the Shopify admin (since that store is gone and I can no longer access it)?

Thank you.

Hi, @usamabinsaqib20 .

Thanks for reaching out here in the community and sharing your question!

I understand you’re in the process of connecting your TikTok Ad account to a new content management system, however, you’re unable to. The error message you’re receiving is that it’s connected to another online shop.

In order to remove this and successfully reconnect your TikTok ad account, you’ll need to log in directly to your TikTok account and remove Shopify permissions.

I’ll share the steps below for better visibility.

Remove app permissions for TikTok and Shopify:

  • Login to the TikTok app
  • Click the menu on the top right of the screen
  • Select Settings and privacy
  • Select Security and login
  • Click Manage app permissions
  • You’ll then be able to remove the app permissions for TikTok and Shopify

Hope the above steps are able to help! If you’re still experiencing an issue of connecting your TikTok ad account after following the steps, I recommend reaching out to our support team via the Help Center.

Since you’ll be using TikTok to help market your employer’s business, I’d like to share a helpful Shopify blog resource. We have some great tips on how to advertise on TikTok, choose a category for content creation, and learn more about the app and the algorithm. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to look into Instagram and Facebook marketing as well.

Let us know if you have any additional questions! I’ll be happy to take a look.

Hello,
I’m in exactly the same situation. Please tell me that you were able to find a solution to this problem…

I was able to fix it using TiXel, a shopify app that connects existing tiktok pixels without using a native integration.
