I’ve been a Shopify client for more than 10yrs and I’ve seen their service getting worst by year.
Recently I’ve been having problem with UPS integration, a service they offer as a basic integration, it’s part of their system. I’ve been on a ticket for more than three week, and the problem has been going on for more. Mind you, UPS is not responsible for any of these issues their side is working great. This is a Shopify’s issue.
Telephone support is not accessible. And to be honest the last few times they had that service available whomever was on the other end was not properly trained and even though they spoke English fluently it was as if they came from a different planet. As if I said “orange” and they understood “cable”. This happened multiple times, on multiple calls.
Their chat service, well, let’s not even go there. Chats are hours long and a waste of time, anyone who used a chat support can confirm that.
The email service support - endless requests of screen shots of this and that. Then can you try this and that again, screen grab that, just to prove that you’re not lying and that you did your due diligence before choosing to waste hours of your time on tech support. Then it gets better, the ticket gets closed without them providing a viable solution. So you give your feedback of “poor” satisfaction and you reopen the ticket. If you are lucky they tell you: get this paid app it will to it for you, but wait didn’t you offer the integration as part of your system?
As an aside, I also had situations where I submitted a ticket and no one got back to me. NO-ONE.
Let me ask you: is this the tech support you need for your online shop?
If you are looking for an online shop platform I would most definitely not suggest Shopify as a solution. An online shop needs to offer tech support, regardless of how tech savvy you are. There are loads of moving parts. Look around. I’m here with Shopify because I don’t have the time to transition to another solution but the moment I can I’m out of here!
I hope this save some people all the grief, anger, and frustration I’ve been experiencing with Shopify.
