Shopify suspended my account all the sudden

I’ve been using shopify payment for selling vintage designer items like bags.

we have a license to buy and sell those pre-owned designer goods.

Though we are a over 10 year old company for that and have been using Shopify payment for many years, Stripe emailed us that they had to close our account. They said that selling goods that designers authorize is prohibited.

but we don’t understand because we are a professional reseller for many years.

does anybody know if we can fix this issue? Or any option for shopify payment???

Could you please confirm if you have received an email from our escalated team regarding the termination of your Shopify Payments account or from Stripe regarding your Stripe Payments account?

Typically, if Shopify Payments is available in your region, Stripe is not an option to use. May I know which region you are located in?

If the issue is related to Stripe, I recommend responding to their email and requesting further clarification on the matter.

If you are using Shopify Payments and received an email from our escalated support team about a termination, then you need to keep communication to that ticket, and they can advise you further.

Usually if you have Shopify Payments enabled on your store and there are any issues with it our own Payments team would contact you and not Stripe.

As we cannot access accounts/tickets from here, that would be the next best course of action.

Shopify Japan said that Shopify Payment in Japan has contract with Stripe, and if you cannot use Stripe, then you will have to use different option(Asked to search with option like VISA or Mastercard etc…) other than Shopify Payment.

So, I guess, they are not really helpful….

I wonder what would be the best credit card proceeding companies for US customers..? Does anybody know?

You may not be able to use Shopify Payments Japan if you’ve used Stripe previously, however I don’t have insight into your account or what the payments team advised you.

Regarding which payment provider would be best to suit the USA market, you would need to research the options on that page or reach out to the payment providers directly for this information. As they would be third party providers, we wouldn’t be able to confirm which is most suitable for the market in the USA.
