SHOPIFY - Why is your Support Process So Bad? Please Help!

I’ve sent emails, tried to use that silly chat bot that simply goes in a loop, and even tried social media… and no success. This is a bit ridiculous. I’ve closed my stores months ago and I’m still being billed. I’d simply like to have my account properly cancelled and be reimbursed for the months of charges.

I’d also like to recommend re-visiting the User Journeys / Customer Experience with your Customer Support process. For this to be such a large platform, there are far too many complaints on multiple forums about how difficult it is to get help about an issue. That is part of what caused me to switch to another platform. Your chatbot sent me in an endless loop that kept directing me back to the chatbot, only to keep saying it couldn’t help me.

Please advise on how I can get in contact with a person to get my issue resolved.

Hey, @FrustratedUser2 ! We’d love to help. Have you tried cancelling the subscription within your admin? Can you please try following the steps below and let us know if you encounter any issues?

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.
  2. Click Deactivate store.
  3. If applicable, then review the options to switch to the Pause and build plan, or start a new store.
  4. If you still want to deactivate, then click Deactivate store.
  5. Select a reason for the deactivation.
  6. Optional: If available, then add a comment to explain further.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. Enter your password, and then click Deactivate store.
