Still not getting any views or Sales

After making the necessary changes to my website www.owndigiartshop.com, I’m still not getting any views or sales. I’ve added a blog, an about page, and even offered discounts, but nothing seems to be working. Could my location (Netherlands) be a factor, or am I missing something? I’ve had my store for at least eight months now, and its very frustrating and I put a lot of time and effort and no results, I’m considering closing it if things don’t improve soon. Please advise with any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you!

I can see that you are not happy about the progress of your store which has zero views or sales eight months down the line; nevertheless, be encouraged.

The issue is not your location in the Netherlands; it probably concerns traffic or conversion.

So here is a five-minute plan that may help:
Drive Traffic: Optimize your website for search engines by using SEO techniques for example “digital art Netherlands”, put some posts on Instagram/Pinterest or even invest €10 in ads.
Fix the Site: Ensure it’s fast, mobile-friendly, with clear prices and easy checkout. Ensure to include trust badges.
Engage: Blog about art trends, start an email list with a 10% off pop-up offer.
Local Edge: Emphasize “From the Netherlands” for a touch of home with visitors who come by.
Test: Incorporate Google Analytics and modify discounts e. g. “Buy 2, Get 1 Free”).
It’s almost done! Just a little more effort and those sales will start coming in. So what do you think should be done next; focus on socials or SEO.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it. I will look into this.

Hey @Fionak_1

It’s frustrating to put in so much effort and not see results. Since you’ve already optimized your store, the issue is likely traffic and targeting rather than the website itself. Here’s what you can do:

Check Your Traffic Sources- Use Google Analytics to see where visitors come from.

  • If traffic is low, focus on SEO, paid ads, and partnerships to bring in new visitors.

Improve Your Marketing Strategy- Expand beyond local markets (Netherlands). Target US, UK, and other English-speaking regions if your products fit.

  • Use Pinterest & SEO – Since you sell digital art, Pinterest is a goldmine for traffic. Optimize your blog for relevant keywords.

  • Leverage Etsy or Marketplaces – List your products on Etsy to tap into an existing audience.

Optimize Conversions- Are visitors abandoning checkout? Use exit pop-ups, free shipping incentives, or upsells with iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell to increase order value.

  • Build an email list – Offer a freebie or discount in exchange for emails, then nurture leads.

Run Targeted Ads- If you’re running ads, make sure you’re targeting the right audience. Test different creatives and audience segments.

Collaborate & Get Social Proof- Work with influencers or micro-creators to promote your shop.

  • Encourage customer reviews and user-generated content to build credibility.

Your store isn’t failing—it just needs better visibility and a stronger marketing push. Don’t give up yet!

Have you tried promoting your store on platforms like Instagram or Tiktok? I think having a blog by itself takes a long time to get consistent traffic even if you are doing SEO properly.
