Store owner (developer) cannot access store anymore to transfer store-ownership

Hi all,

I had a developer store set up for me. Once it was ready for launch, I (the user, not owner) switched to the Basic plan (no warning appeared—it was very quickly done). Now, the developer cannot access the store anymore to change ownership, and I am limited in my rights because I am not the owner (e.g. cannot add Shopify payments).

How can the developer get access back to transfer the ownership to me?

While we can revert a store back to the development plan in some instances, once a plan has been chosen, it’s no longer possible to do this. The best course of action from here is to have the account owner log into the store and transfer the ownership to you by following the steps on this page.
