Troubles with home address showing in marketing emails

Hi, I’m about to launch my website and wanted to check if all the features were working however, my home address keeps showing in my marketing emails. I’m using Shopify inbox. Also when login into my website to see if the customers would receive the one-time six-digit verification code to their email address my home address shows at the bottom of the emails too not sure why. Thank you in advance

Hi, Sarah. It’s exciting to hear that you’re about to launch your website! We’ve got a store launch checklist here to help you confirm that it’s all ready to go.

To confirm, are your marketing emails being sent with Shopify Email? If so, there’s a setting within the editor to determine whether or not the footer includes your shop address. Regarding the address that is pulled into the other customer notifications under Settings > Notifications, I believe this is pulling from your Default location under Settings > Locations.

Hi Sophia! Thank you for getting back to me! Yes,I’m using shopify emails and after following your instructions I can see that I will have to manually remove it every time I edit a new template which is totally fine! However, I just logged into my website again using my email to see if my home address will still show when customers want to log into their account via my website and my home address still appears even though my default location is my virtual address

When customers login on your online store, they should see their order information. They may also see their own saved addresses and payment methods (more details here: Customer accounts), but they shouldn’t be seeing your address. Can you please clarify exactly where this information is appearing when they login?

On my website, there is an option for customers to log into their account. When they want to log in, a one time 6 digit verification code is sent to their email. However, at the bottom of that email my home address is showing and I no have idea how to remove it. I checked my default location in settings and my virtual address is there and not my home address so I’m not too sure why that’s happening.Thank you in advance!

Hey @Sarahgnb

Thanks for following up about this. I recommend double checking your email templates in your admin under Settings > Notifications > Customer Notifications to see if the old address is entered in their manually. Our authenticated chat support team can also help you investigate this further.

Hi Shay, thank you for getting back to me. I have checked the Customer Notifications and the email templates look fine so I will have to contact the chat support team regarding this issue. Thank you for your help!

Have you figured it out? I have the same problem…and support just told me to use the classic version.

same issue, anyone figure this out?

Was this ever resolved? I’m having the same issue. Seems like it should be an easy fix.
