Suddenly codes have stopped coming to my phone. My phone number seems to be OK but I am running out of extra codes in my lists for recovery. I need support on this so I can set up two factor and link my bank account. I need a support agent’s email urgently.
I understand that you are having trouble receiving the authentication codes to your phone when trying to log in to your account. While we can’t access your account here via the Shopify Community, I can certainly point you in the right direction to resolve this.
Firstly, have you confirmed that the mobile device where the codes are being sent is functioning correctly, has adequate network coverage and can send/receive other SMS messages as normal? Do you know if you have added any backup authentication methods to your account that you could try using in place of the SMS method? This would appear as an option when logging in - you should be able to select between them.
If not, then perhaps you have access to the recovery codes for your two-step authentication? You can use one of your ten recovery codes to log in to your account if it has two-step authentication enabled.
If none of the above helps you to gain access to your account, then it will be necessary to contact our support team for assistance. You can do so by using this help center link - please note if you cannot log in via the help center, then you will need to choose the ‘I don’t have an account’ option and explain to our support team what is happening. The support advisor can take a closer look and explain the next steps!
Thanks Kathy, but I don’t need to setup 2 Factor with my bank but with shopify. It won’t let me hook up my bank to receive payouts because I need 2 factor enabled on shopify. Only issue is whenever I go to setup 2 Factor it just kicks me out in an infinite loop. I’ve tried multiple browsers AND EVEN MOBILE and cant seem to fix the issue. I need a phone or email to contact support from a real person. Thanks again!
heres my issue exactly.
I want to receive payouts and have users be able to pay with card.
the only thing is i need 2factor enabled to do that.
whenever I try to enable 2factor the sms message does NOT come through on my phone, and when it does it DOES NOT actually enable 2factor itself.
it just sends me back into an infinite loop of trying to enable 2factor over and over, until it eventually stops sending messages to my phone.
i’ve tried multiple browsers, and used most of my recovery codes by now. i’ve disabled all adblockers and even tried resetting ALL my browsers cookies.
i need a support person’s email that could better help my in this situation.

troubleshoot myself and clear browsers cookies/turn off adblockers
nothing works.
now, politely please give me an email or someone who can UNBLOCK my phone number from receiving texts from shopify
