Hello, i just started building my website, then i ran into a problem with two factor authentication, the problem is i go into payments then i go add bank account then it says activate two factor authentication but when i activate it it still pops up asking me to activate two factor authentication, and it even says it is on in my security so i was thinking for it to work do i need to purchase a monthly plan
Topic summary
Two-factor authentication (2FA) not recognized when adding a bank account under Payments; the system repeatedly prompts to activate 2FA even though it’s already enabled in Security. The original poster asks if a monthly plan is required for this to work.
Multiple users confirm the same issue: 2FA is turned on, but they can’t get past the activation message.
One participant requests the store URL and credentials; no concrete troubleshooting steps, official guidance, or fixes are provided in the thread.
2FA: an extra security step requiring a second verification (e.g., code or app) beyond a password.
Status: unresolved and ongoing. Key open questions include whether this is a Shopify Payments bug, an account verification requirement, or tied to plan level. No decisions, actions, or workarounds have emerged from the discussion.
Hello @Nixon
Can you share your store url and credentials
