Urgent! "SSL Certificate not trusted"

For almost 3 months now, I have had several reports of this error message popping up: “This site’s security certificate is not trusted” or Safari cannot open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server"

The issue came out of the blue one day. My store has been live since March 2023 and has been absolutely fine. Some day in March/April 2024, I started getting reports of this problem.

It has significantly impacted sales. I have contacted GoDaddy support 3 times, they are utterly useless and shrugged their shoulders. I have contacted Shopify support 3 times, and not much help either.

They told me to update my DNS settings and I did exactly what they told me. It fixed the issue for some people, but I’m still getting plenty of messages reporting the problem. I’m absolutely fed up, this is ridiculous. If anyone can provide any help please I’d really appreciate it.

Hi @jrobbins748 in order to get help I need to know your domain URL so that I can check the SSL certificate report.

Hi, it’s cinegrams.com

I quickly checked the SSL report from several services and I didn’t find any issues. Not for cinegrams.com and neither for www.cinegrams.com

In addition, I checked the A record both for www and non-www and also in this case the IP address pointed to is correct.
Also the domain CNAME record for www is correct.

I also managing some domain on GoDaddy using these DNS settings and I don’t have any report of issues.

In the end sorry but I cannot find any issue. Is it possible that you just fixed it recently by changing some DSN settings?

That’s the problem, so everything seems fine with the settings which is why no support reps are of any help. but I am still getting reports of the same error from plenty of customers. The fixes were done weeks ago so it has been more than enough time to adjust.

I am so confused as to why people are still having trouble!
