Using apps in a Online Store 2.0 draft theme

We are currently migrating our shop to Online Store 2.0 by installing a newer version of our theme that supports OS 2.0. This process is done on a draft theme in our theme library, which will be published if everything is set up and working.

While customizing this draft theme, we noticed that some of the apps we’re using are already compatible with OS 2.0 and can be enabled through the Theme settings → App embeds.

Unfortunately, most of the used apps cannot be accessed on this way and are not available in the draft theme.

Is there a way to embed such apps in a draft theme? (An example would be Ultimate Trust Badges)

Customization and testing can’t be properly done without all used apps.

Unfortunately not all apps support OS 2.0, so they might not all be compatible with your changes. You could reach out the specific app developers about providing 2.0 support or other workarounds, otherwise you may have to look for alternatives.

If they support OS 2.0, you can add the app blocks to your draft theme yes.
