I’ve been trying to get my EIN (that I’ve had since 2012) verified.

All the support bots do is parrot that I’ll get an email “soon”.

From what I understand, they will hold payments, despite this being 100% a Shopify error.

It’s not that I don’t want to upload my 147C letter, it’s that they won’t provide any method for me to do so. I get an error that I’ve submitted too many times, when I haven’t submitted anything. They say they are reviewing, but I haven’t sent anything to review.

Any ideas?

Same boat, been on hold since December 13th- same things being said to me, this may actually be the worst customer service I have ever seen. They are actually hurting merchant accounts with these delays.

They apparently are more responsive on Twitter.

I have the same problem. Have you solved this problem?

I am having the exact same problem - it is SHOCKING how bad their customer service is to paying customers. They are holding over $1,000 of my funds hostage over this EIN problem that they created. No amount of double checking or verifying information worked for me, and now I’m locked out from making updates, with no one to call, and I think I will try twitter. Something has to get through to them.
