Hello,

I hope you are doing good and welcome to the Shopify Community!

I am San from MS Web Designer

Thank you for sharing your store URL. This allowed me to go through your site.

You have a beautiful website. I believe a few adjustments may be required to make it more professional and appealing to customers.

Here are some recommendations:

Header:

  1. Attractive announcement bar can be there for Special announcement or promotion.

  2. Favicon should be added to locate the store.

  3. Wishlist option will help in making selection easier for the customer.

  4. Social Media icon missing

    You can follow this.

Homepage: (First Impression is the last impression)

The homepage is the first landing page your customers will see after opening the website. Yours is done beautifully.

  1. Hero image is amazing as it resonates with the brand. But call to action button and slider can be added to banner to give it more appealing view.
  2. Add Trust Badges on Your Home Page to enhance the trust of the customers.
  3. Highlight the USP of your Products or services.
  4. Add featured collection on home page.
  5. Add a Lead magnet section on Home Page
  6. Add Sticky Cart Icon on Home Page to get more conversions.

Add Customer Testimonial like This

Trust Badges is a significant feature on the homepage so that people will trust your store.

Collection and Product Page:

  • Add Sticky add to Cart and Buy now Button

  • Add Trust Badges bellow to cart or Buy now Button

  • Add Products Bages like New, 10% Off, You Save 20$ or Free Shipping

Good Example of Collection Page

SPEED Optimization:

  1. Your site might be in need of Optimization too. As per Google Insights, your site scores 49 which means that attention is required here. A well-optimised site rates 60 to 65. This affects your SEO ranking and decides how many customers/visitors view or find your website. This is especially important if you don’t want to invest in advertisements.

Speed optimization is required to increase sales and traffic. Also, if your speed is not good, your website ranking will definitely fall.

I hope this helped!

Please feel free to contact us for any further help that you might require.

Best regards,

San.

Hi @HooperSports

I’m Garcia from PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder App.

Generally, I love your store’s design, it looks classic but professional. From my CRO expertise, I’d love to give you my suggestions as hereby:

1. Homepage

  • Have a favicon for your store

Whether you’re putting the final touches on your online store or it’s already up and running, don’t overlook the significance of adding a favicon! It’s a small yet crucial detail that can enhance your website’s appearance and reinforce your brand.

PageFlyGarcia_0-1712724122366.png

By including a favicon on your website, you can effectively communicate to your potential customers that they have arrived at your company’s page.

You can check this Shopify guide on how to add a favicon - https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/images/add-favicon

  • Redesign the wheel pop-up

A general rule of thumb is that the most effective pop-ups for boosting conversion rates are either shown on a website after 15 seconds have passed or triggered by specific user actions or behaviors.

To enhance the conversion rates of your promotion, a great strategy is to present it when a visitor is about to leave the website, rather than displaying it right at the beginning of their session.

Exit offers occur when a website showcases a pop-up or promotional message as soon as a visitor moves their cursor towards the ‘close’ button in their browser or when they switch to a different tab.

These offers have been shown to retain approximately 10-15% of visitors who would otherwise exit the site, as they provide an incentive to stay or make a purchase.

  • Add CTA button to hero banner

A crucial element for an online store’s homepage is the primary call-to-action button. This button serves as a direct link to the specific page where you want customers to take action, such as a collection or product page.

It’s such a loss when you missed a “Shop now” button on your banner. A CTA button here will urge visitors to make the purchase and it is a great way to optimize your home page.

And kindly rest assured that all CTA buttons should have the same styling to boost the conversion rate.

  • Add more sections
  • Product details: One of the best-sellers from your store should be showcased to catch more attention
  • Instagram feed: Your Instagram content adds a fresh feel to your website by showing you’re active online and interacting with your customers.
  • Testimonial - customer reviews: This section will help you build customers’ trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos. Here is a demo for you:

2. Product page

  • Color swatch

Product color swatches enhance conversion rate by reducing the number of clicks for customers to find the product they want. The shorter and easier a customer’s path to the desired product is, the more likely they will make a purchase.

  • Invest on product media
You should give customers as close to an “in-store” experience with the product as possible by adding large multi-angle, detailed photos as well as a video of product in use. As long as your customers can get a full view of your product, the more willing they are to make a purchase.

  • Highlight the ATC button

Ensure the Primary ‘Add to Cart’ Button’s Styling Is Unique and Prominent

  • Style Product Price to Be Highly Visible
  • Ensure the ‘Buy’ Section Includes Only Essential Information and Options such as size guides, shipping and refund policies.

And that’s my feedback! Hope it helps you boost the conversion rate.

Cheers!

Hi,

I hope you are doing well. I have a website, kitespan, related to basketball match player stats. That website is currently running on Wordpress CMS. Is that possible to shift it on Shopify and make a shop section for selling basketball items?

Can you please have a minute to guide me?

Thanks

Hi @HooperSports

I checked out Hooper Sports Apparel, and you’ve built a solid brand with a strong eco-minded message. Combining basketball culture with sustainable, on-demand production gives your store real purpose. Here’s how to sharpen things up and help drive more conversions:

1. Make Your Value Proposition Unmissable
Your brand ethos is great—durable, eco-conscious basketball apparel. But it could stand out even more with a clearer hero section at the top of your homepage. Consider a bold headline like:
“High-Performance Basketball Gear, Made to Order”with a “Shop Now” button that jumps straight into your featured products. That instantly tells visitors who you are and what you sell.

**
2. Elevate the Product Experience**
Photography: The product shots look clean, but having some lifestyle photos, such as hoodies being worn on the court or in action, would give customers a real, relatable context.
Descriptions: Your Eclipse hoodie product page is nicely detailed with fabric weight and fit specs—but lacks reviews or storytelling. Sharing user experiences or adding a short “Why we made this” section could make the page feel more engaging and trustworthy.

3. Add Social Proof & Build Trust
There’s a meaningful mission, but no customer reviews or testimonials—adding even a few will boost credibility significantly.
Highlight your eco-friendly on-demand production more visually. Maybe use a badge like “Zero Inventory Waste” or display an environmental impact statistic.

Product Reviews/Social Proof: Right now, there’s little proof that customers love your products. Even a few reviews, testimonials, or before-and-after photos can go a long way in building confidence.Customers are more likely to purchase when they trust the store. You should add product reviews using a tool like ShopReviews ‑ Product Reviews - ShopReviews - Boost your sales with product reviews | Shopify App Store, which makes collecting and displaying real customer feedback seamless
Trust Signals: Add security icons (SSL, safe checkout badges) and clear return/shipping policies. When customers feel safe and informed, they’re much more likely to buy.

4. Showcase Signature Styles or Collections
While the “Featured Products” section works, it feels scattered. Try grouping items by collection (e.g., “Hoodies,” “Caps,” “Streetwear Essentials”) so visitors can easily browse. You could also spotlight a bestseller or new arrival at the top for more focus.

5. Turn Social Presence into a Traffic Driver
Your Instagram bio reads passionately: “For those who dream bigger & play harder…” That tone is golden—extend it by linking your site to social content:
Show short styling reels of your apparel in motion.
Encourage followers to tag their Hooper gear with a hashtag for UGC (user-generated content).
Feature that alongside your product pages or homepage carousel.

If you’re also selling on Etsy, consider using an app like Etsy Integration ‑ ShopList - ShopList - seamless integration between Shopify and Etsy | Shopify App Store . It lets you sync your products and orders between Shopify and Etsy automatically, saving time and helping you manage inventory more efficiently—perfect for handmade or customized products like yours.

Hi @HooperSports,

This site does a great job of giving customers an in-store feel with detailed photos. Adding product videos in a Shopify store helps customers see the product in action, builds trust, and increases purchase confidence, which often leads to higher conversion rates. With tools like EmbedAny you can easily add these engaging visuals without writing a single line of code to embed YouTube videos. You can just paste a YouTube link in your blog and make it italic and it will into a video. Thanks to EmbedAnyShopify app. It works not just for YouTube but for 800+ sites, including Instagram, TikTok etc. Try it out, it’s FREE.

Thanks

Hi @HooperSports

After my checking on your shared store, there exist some elements need to be noted here. You can take a look and make them as the reference:

  1. Text alignment optimization in the pop-up window. There exists a very large empty space in your pop-up window and the text contents seem like not aligned properly. Try to make them stay in line one by one and if 10% off matters here, you can actually place it in the first row, so that customers can see it immediately.

  2. Store meta description is missing. I can see your meta title displaying properly instead of meta description. If you added it already on Shopify backend, that means it is not indexed or recognized by Google properly. You need to further check the code details on the backend or if you fail to do so, you can also get help from SEOAnt and our team will assist you to resolve it directly.

  3. You can add some trust badges on product page, as it will save time of getting what you sell in detail and let visitors stay longer on the page.

Hi @HooperSports,

Congrats on successfully launching your store - that’s already a big first step! :tada:

After checking out your site, I think you’ve started to build a clear brand identity, which is great. A few suggestions that could help improve it further:

  • Consider reducing the header height and adding a more engaging announcement bar to grab attention.
  • Expanding your menu options will give visitors easier navigation.
  • Instead of just one hero image, a slideshow or even a short video could be more captivating.
  • Organize your collections more clearly, and use strong collection images to draw customers in. Adding more product sections or even a tabbed layout for collections can also help.
  • Product photos should feel more consistent (either with or without a background, but aligned one way).
  • Adding video sections throughout the store can boost engagement.

Beyond design, don’t forget to focus on trust-building elements (reviews, clear policies), SEO to drive organic traffic, and marketing strategies like affiliate marketing. Many merchants use apps such as UpPromote to let influencers or loyal customers help spread the word - a cost-effective way to grow.

Wishing you lots of success as you continue to refine your store!

This site looks pretty bad. Generic mockup images that are on thousands of sites says there isn’t much effort into the products. Gmail for your business contact. The prices aren’t doing any favors either. A baby onsie for 24 dollars. A t-shirt with a tiny graphic for 29 bucks that probably cost 8 including printify and shopify fees. Social media links that don’t work.

Too many of these drop-shipping sites claim “our brand”, “our manufacturing process”, “our technique”, trying to mislead customers into thinking it’s an actual storefront when it’s really just an order routing site that has absolutely nothing to do with anything. It’s a very bad business practice.

Hey @HooperSports

It looks clean and easy to navigate. One thing that might help is adding more trust elements like reviews, or even a small “about the brand” story to make it more personal. You could also look into letting your early customers or supporters share your products through an affiliate/referral setup (apps like UpPromote make that pretty simple). Sometimes word-of-mouth can do more than ads, especially in sports communities.

Best,
Moeed
