When trying to access Analytics, I am getting This feature isn't currently available for your store"

I am on the Basic plan and have always had access until when I checked today. I am getting the following on the screen when I click on the Analytics section, reports, or Live View.

Can anyone tell me what is going on or has anyone else experienced this?

  • This appears tied to Shopify’s shift to a new Analytics framework, which introduced new restrictions and limitations—some features are no longer included on Basic plans .

What you can do1. Confirm your plan tier

  • Go to Settings → Plan in your Shopify admin and verify you’re on the Basic plan.

  • If you were recently switched or downgraded, Shopify might have re-evaluated access based on account activity.

  1. Contact Shopify Support

    • Reach out through your admin dashboard (Help → Contact Support).

    • Ask if your Analytics rights have changed and if they can re-enable access—or if you need to upgrade.

  2. Consider upgrading

    • If Analytics access is crucial, switching to the Shopify or Advanced plan may be necessary to restore full reporting.

  3. Use third-party analytics as a workaround

    • Consider free/low-cost tools such as Google Analytics, Fathom, or Hotjar—these can provide session tracking, live views, and basic report functionality.

It must have been a glitch. I am able to view all the analytics I had before.
