Which is the best app to hide and reveal out of stock products?

Hello there,

I am wondering if someone would be so kind as to advise me of the best app to hide out of stock products and then show them again when they come back in stock?

Hiding out-of-stock products in your collections can be done without the use of an app, as per our Help Center. You can use automated collections to include products that have an inventory level greater than 0, meaning if a products inventory level falls below 1 it will automatically be removed from the collection and not visible to customers there. If inventory is then added in future, the product will re-appear within the collection. However, this does mean the product will remain searchable on the store, even if it does not feature in any specific collection.

To automatically hide the out-of-stock product entirely, you can use an inventory management app thats offers this functionality. I’d recommend checking out apps such as Wipeout, Zero Out and Out-of-Stock Police.

Hi @the_orient ,

Hiding the out of stock items may not always be the best solution.
All of the product pages have SEO power for your store, and it is developing for a long time. When you hide a sold-out product, you lose index and links to it; this means you lose all the product’s SEO power. And when you unhide it, it starts all over. So, if you will re-stock the item, you should keep out of stock products on your site - just don’t put them in front of your customers.

Our app, Push Down & Hide Out of Stock, move out of stock products to the bottom of the collection. If you will not re-stock a product, you can hide it also. If an item is back in stock, it is also published automatically.
Combining these features is the best and easiest way to improve conversions by managing out-of-stock products.

If you are determined to hide all out-of-stock products, of course, you can also use only hiding&unhiding feature.

I just need a simple app that is easy to use, isn’t costly and keeps my webpages clutter free.

I need the items hidden (or pushed down) when out of stock and then visible as soon as they come back in stock.

There is no need for coding. Simply install the app and you will see hide/unhide selection in the settings page. Ping us via chat if you need further questions.
