Hello @amed95 ,
You should pay for the domain renewals if you bought in Shopify. Kindly pay the pending amount and then your store will be active again.
Hi @amed95
I’d love to help you here, however I am not fully sure I understand your question.
From what I can gather it sounds like you used to have three separate Shopify stores, that are now all inactive is that correct? Did you close these stores down yourself, and are now wondering why you received an email from Shopify asking you to pay for domain renewals?
Can you confirm if you purchased the domains on Shopify?
Shopify will not automatically charge a yearly domain fee on a cancelled or frozen store, even if auto-renewal is turned on for the domains. It’s possible these are automated renewal emails. However, I would advise reaching out to our support team using this link. We can authenticate you on each of your old stores and double check the billing situation.
Are you planning on continuing work on any of these three stores? If so, you should be able to login and choose a new plan. However, if that is not working then any information you can provide here would be helpful in troubleshooting your situation. I look forward to hearing from you!
hi Rick
today arrived the email, that basically says that the domain “mydropcase.com” will be expired in 26/06/22, i dont know, if my store with this domain is still active or not(i can see when i go to manage other stores", so i dont know what to do.
hope it’s clear and you can help me
best regards
Hi @amed95
Thanks for getting back to me with this information!
As I mentioned in my last reply, if the store is indeed cancelled or frozen, then you shouldn’t be charged for the renewal of the domain.
However, it would be a good idea to double check to make sure that the store is definitely not active. Are you able to log in to the store that the mydropcase.com domain is linked to? You mentioned that you can see it when you go to manage other stores. I’d be curious to know what it says when you try to log in.
You could also contact our support team using this link, and explain you need to ensure the store linked to the domain is closed and you won’t be charged. They can authenticate you on the store, and take a closer look - this would be the best course of action here.
