Why am I getting a 'Store is Unavailable' error after changing themes?

Hi all,

My store was working fine until this morning, and I received a message from Shopify that the Impulse theme which I was using needs to be purchased.

This afternoon when I visit my store I get the following error:

Something went wrong.

What happened?This store is unavailable

I deleted that particular theme, and switched to a free theme, but I still get that same error message. What can I do?

In this situation I recommend replying back to the email you received with the instructions to update or change your theme file. You can also reach out to our authenticated support team to confirm these steps have been taken. They may be able to help expedite having your storefront restored.
