I am sorry to hear that you cancelled your store. However, I understand that decisions like this are sometimes necessary to make for your business. With that in mind, were you experiencing any difficulties with the setup or running of the store that we could possibly help with?
When you completely close a store on Shopify, you would not expect to see any further bills on your account. Can you confirm what charges you are referring to? You would generally get a free 14-day trial for your store, after which you would be charged for the next month - is it possible that you closed your store after the trial had ended?
You should still be able to access your bills to check this even after closing your store by simply logging in with your store login credentials. You should see something similar to my below screenshot, where you can view past invoices:
