It is hard to give an exact answer behind why you were charged without verifying the account. Usually, a store cannot be charged an invoice unless it is still active. Is it possible these charges are for another second store you might have opened and forgotten about?
Did you receive confirmation on screen of the cancellation when closing your account? Were there any pending invoices due that may have put the store into a frozen state rather than cancelled? Let me know!
