Why are all product pages showing a 404 error after domain move?

I have set up a new store and moved a domain name from my previous wix website to the shopify store and I believe that is what is causing an error. But I am not sure.

Every product I click on, in my store, is giving me a 404 error page.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for the screenshot showing the issue you are experiencing.

Could you please test this URL to see if your products load, it should load ALL published products on your store: www.aoapparel.co.uk/collections/all

If nothing loads on that page, please double check that your product statuses are set to PUBLISHED and not DRAFT.

Check within the theme editor to see if the product pages are loading with product examples.

Please let me know what the results are from both of those!

Yes, all products load via that url for the collection page.

In the template editor it also displays a 404 error page.

Thank you for the confirmation, we can narrow down the issue to most likely being related to the theme file or an app that has injected code into the product page template for the theme.

  • Check if the error happens in a fresh copy of the theme, since you can replicate this in the theme editor you don’t need to publish the theme you just need to add it to the list of themes on your store. You will also want to test in a fresh copy of one of our free themes to rule out any theme bug issues.
  • If it works in a fresh version of the theme, then we can narrow the issue down to it being a coding problem on the product pages. Most likely related to a customization made in the theme code or a broken script from an installed app.
